Dr. DeVarennes graduated from Marymount University earning a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from 2021-2024. During his time as a student, he worked closely with the Reston Raiders hockey program, ranging from U12 to U19 boys and girls’ hockey teams, and volunteered with the Old Glory Rugby medical team and with the Washington Capitals development and training camps with performance testing and movement screening.
Dr. DeVarennes has been involved in ice hockey for most of his life, starting with playing competitive hockey in New Brunswick, Canada, and finishing his career playing ACHA Division I hockey at Mercyhurst University from 2014-2018 where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Public Health and Psychology. From there, he returned home to Canada to work full-time as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist & Sports nutritionist in the private sector, working with athletes across all age spans with Ice hockey, soccer and baseball with sports performance and injury prevention programs and screening for 4 years. Before returning to Stateside to pursue Physical Therapy, he worked full-time with both a junior development team and a professional hockey team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey Team as a Strength Coach, Kinesiologist and Sports Nutritionist.
Areas of specialties include return to sport/injury prevention and high performance, particularly with athletes and active population. The blend of Strength and Conditioning with a Physical Therapy background gives patients a unique approach to their rehabilitation practice.
Currently, Dr. DeVarennes continues to help coach Reston Raiders hockey teams off-ice while pursuing his specialization in sports concussions.

Dr. Moose graduated from Palmer West College of Chiropractic in San Jose, California where he earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic. He was active in his school’s extracurricular activities in which he would spend some weekends treating marathon runners and other athletes.
Raised in Potomac, Maryland, Dr. Moose grew up playing various sports. He was on Varsity Wrestling team for his high school. He later went to University of Maryland where he earned his bachelor’s in Kinesiology. With this background, Dr. Moose has been trained heavily in human biomechanics.

Dr. Sandra McGourty was born and raised in New Jersey with three sisters in a competitive natured, athletic, health driven, and loving family. She was drawn to chiropractic after enduring a spinal injury as a young high level gymnast. Through chiropractic care she was able to recover and remain healthy while playing softball, volleyball, gymnastics and track throughout high school.
